some of you may or may not know my mom's cousin and fathers best friend passed on thursday evening. I was able to make it back home (utica) to talk to him briefly and was able to help the family for a couple days until he passed. He was comfortable and on his barcalounger when it happened.

This is the guy who helped me find a good first bike and talked me through the look over on the phone. Found me my first vmax (called me at 4am the crazy *******), a '94 yellow, and went with me to pick up my black one. he actually test rode it before i got there and all he had to say was 'its slow as hell', grinning ear to ear (he was a ball buster)....

its been a tough time but he had been suffering and fighting for years. i can truly say the world is a lesser place now, but at least he is at rest.

he told my father last week he thinks he's owned around 150 - 175 bikes over the years, and i was able to look through some of the older pics at his house, some notable ones were a rz350, honda dream, honda hawk, and tons of others from the 70s and 80s i didn't have time to look through them all tho.

RIP....

My condolences as well Garrett. Sounds like a great guy! It's always the good ones that go young...

What did he have?

Chris

he had a form of hodkinsons in the 70s when he was in his 20s and the scar tissue from the radiation had slowly caught up with him. he had been fighting issues with it for about 5 years now, but it was pneumonia and a collapsed lung that finally put him on "bed rest" since any surgical intervention would have been fatal. They had already been in to scrape the tissue out multiple times and he didn't have the strength anymore.
