Rough Idle

94 - Vmax runs strong and pulls all the way to 9000 rpm.

Noticed during the last couple of rides, there was a slight hesitation when getting on it between a 1000 and 3000 rpm, but nothing to be concerned about.

Today after a morning ride, the idle is rough and not steady at 1000 rpm-sounds like a miss.

Checked the plug wires and boots for arching, no issue.

All 4 cylinders firing.

Voltage/charging 12.7 up to 13.7 while running.

Decided to drain the float bowls, fuel is clear, no sediment.

Fuel tank also clear, no rust.

Does this sound like a pilot jet issue?

Sopunds like a pilot jet is clogged. A shotgun is a simple procedure to clean them out. Ive had better luck when doing a shotgun, with removing PAJ#2 for a full blast of air.

The filter had more than few fine particles in it, fortunately no rust.
