When I was driving into work this morning, I listened to the NPR report on the bravery of this man. Today he was awarded the Medal of Honor. There's a play button in the upper left corner of the page to listen the story the played on the radio. It has a few extra bits the article leaves out. Like just how desperate the situation had become -- such as the word had got passed around to leave one bullet for yourself. And they were in desperate need of supplies "Doc" strapped a strobe light on his helmet at night so the air drop could see him. He got hit by a couple of rounds but they were able to get the supplies.

I know there were so many remarkable Americans who did such brave things that we will never hear about. But I wish we heard more about them. They deserve it and it reminds us what really matters.
