Screeching

While I am at a stop light I get a screeching sound coming from my clutch. When I start to drive it becomes a pinging sound. Its annoying and I at first thought it was the water pump but, I rebuilt it and the noise is still there. So, back to the clutch. I made a rule dont take apart until I buy the parts until you know whats wrong. So here I am turning to the vmax family hoping for some idea what it could be. The clutch lever was rebuilt and brand new lines 2 months ago. So thats good any ideas let me know

Taking the cover will only cost you a gasket so i'd consider doing an invasive diagnostic like the doctors say...

If the noise get louder or quieter when squeezing the clutch then you can rest asure its in the clutch so it would be worth taken off the cover & inspecting.
