slightly longer bolts for stator cover insert?

hardware store didn't have any of the bolts that came off of the stator cover insert, how much room do I have behind it? Ok to put a bolt that has maybe 5mm longer length on it?

ok, i thought the holes went all the way thru to the stator but the are just inside the cover, so as long as they don't bottom out i'm good, which they didn't, and they don't so 40 miles later no complaints.
