Thought I would show you some pics of the backhoe truck I built to excavate the tops of underground petroleum storage tanks, which I used to test and repair.
The backhoe unit is called a "Truxcavator" made by J & M Hydraulics, Pittsburgh, PA. It is production # 24, and I believe that is about all of these they made.
The hydraulic unit is called an "Auger Mate" that I found at a farm supply business and is simply a portable hydraulic power unit.
The truck is a '92 Chevy short box (it says GMC-that's because I like that grill better) 4 wheel drive. Powered by a GM 350 4 bolt w/cam, crate motor with about 45,000 miles and a new GM tranny with less than 1,000 miles. The truck has 264,000 miles on it.
Boss 7 1/2' power angle fiberglass plow unit mounts up front for snow removal. (Which is coming pretty soon)
