I was talking with some friends, ok it was more like bench racing, but chit chat all the same. The topic of music came up, and what song goes through your head while riding, seasons or whatever.

I link mellow jazz when I'm on a nice slow ride. Cruise nights when I still had the Tbird it was Baker's street, summertime girls, will smith's summertime. Fall riding is more of; california dreaming, hazy shade of winter.

There is alot more, I'm just wondering what music you listen/think of when your pounding the streets.

Hey Kj, I Wish I Could Think Of Those Nice Calming Songs, California Dreaming Is One Of My Alltime Favorites In The World !!!! But There's So Many f!@#$%g Idiot Driver's Wear I Live In New Jersey, Everytime We Go Riding We Almost Get Killed, Until We Get 20 Mile's From Home , Then Were Good To Go !!! So Along With That & Being So Friggin Hyper, The Only Song That Comes To Mind In The First 20 Miles Is "renegades Of Funk", By Rage Against The Machine !!!! You Have To Listen To The Words Close, If & When I Build Another Stock Car I'm Going To Put A Stereo In It & Crank This Song On A Continous Loop, The Beat Just Make's You Want To Floor Whatever Your Driving !!!!

And I don't want a tickle...

I stand SO corrected! Always sounded like 'pickle' to me....

Anyway, I always liked "Flyin' Into Los Angel-eese" better.. And of course..."alice's..."

L8R..

Philthy

You weren't incorrect. It is a pickle, then a tickle, and then I don't want to die, I just want to ride my motor SIE... cle.

A local radio station plays "Alice" every Thanksgiving.

I'd rather ride then get a pickle tickle any day of the week :whistlin:

Learned 'Alice's' riff on guitar many years ago...finger pickin' and all pretty much just the way it was on the recording... (it was originally written as a radio commercial). Now every year at T-Day somebody will ask Pop to play the Alice song...

I can do the riff, and even sing the chorus, but never could do the 'rap' about how it came to be. This last year somebody brought the whole damn thing written down, and recited it while I played it ...over and over, and... until my fingers were damn near wrecked! Never again!

Thanks again Arlo...it is a classic piece...

Yer Uncle Philthy Loves ya!!!
