Being a US model it wouldn't have a limiter so the fact it hits a wall is somewhat interesting.

The year is largely irrelevant since you have essentially the same engine as a 1985.

Could your throttle be out of adjustment....you're not actually getting WOT? Sticking CV slides? V-boost isn't opening?

I've not pushed my 07 flat out yet but it's blasting to 120mph easily with no signs of quitting. Sorry but I haven't checked the RPM's at that speed due to the daft position of the tach but she shows no signs of slowing down through that point. In fact, it's still accelerating like a horse with a stick of dynamite shoved up it's arse. I love this bike !!
