Starter issue

Not sure what's going on, but as soon as I turn on the key and flip the run switch to on the starter engages and stays engaged. I have disconnected the solenoid trigger wires starter does not spin. Removed the starter button still spins. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just based on what you said, and assuming that you have had the bike running properly before, then the exciter wire for the starter solenoid is shorting out somewhere (other than the switch). Trace it back!

Be sure your start button isn't sticking INWARD/DEPRESSED.

The starter button is disassembled and it still happens. There is 12 V at the solenoid as soon as the key is turned on and the the run switch is turned on

Short in the handle bar switch, wires to the switch, or relay under the drivers seat?

Which wire reads 12 volts? Blue striped or red striped?
