I'm having trouble with the push button starter switch. First couple of starts are fine but after that the bike will not run until you release the button. If you barely push on the switch you can get it to fire. The side stand switch has been wired together, but I left the side stand relay alone. Do I need to get rid of the relay too? Maybe this problem is not linked to the side stand relay. Anyone ever seen this before? Thanks for your help!!

I think your battery is toast.
You have enough juice to turn the bike over, but not enough to fire the TCI.
When you take your finger off of the start button, you quit using all of those amps, and if you get the timing right, the voltage goes to the ignition and the bike fires.
Try it with jumper cables to your car and I'll bet that it fires right up.
