I saw this today in Dania Beach FL on Griffin Rd. Looks to me like Superman in civilian clothes, and in a nice touch, instead of stepping-into a telephone booth ("Mommy, what's a 'telephone booth?'") to change into the Man of Steel, this fellow chooses to ride on a bed of Yellow Pages. Maybe he came-in for a hot-landing, and they cushioned his impact. :confused2:

"I think we've seen why this is not prescribed behavior.":stretche:

In an aside, I spoke with "a113ycat's" former owner of his bike now-sold-to Bonehead, and informed him of what the bike has recently been through. He extends his wishes for a speedy recovery to Bonehead, and he misses his VMax. :biglaugh:

I forgot that they had pass the no riding in back of a pick up trucks here and I had 6 friends in the back and 2 others in my cab. The officer was nice to just warn us but it was 500.00 fine per person in the back of the truck and a charge of wreckless endangerment per person. And with 6 people in the back that would have cost me my licence. Nice officer follow us for a mile to my friend house where every one jumped out.

I've had (iirc) 9 people in the back of my truck before. Granted the box wasn't all full of **** so there was fairly minimal danger of anyone falling out from a pothole, you could actually sit down.

I'd drive everyone down rt9 along the lake shore to the next town where there's a nice ice cream joint during the summer. Small town Adirondack, can still get away with that stuff. Cars only hold 5, my truck has carried I think 14. Five in the cab, nine in the box. I think that pretty maxed out the 3/4 ton weight rating.

The bed of my truck was empty also. The law was passed here after a truck loaded with people flipped and some of them where children like 10 -15 years old where killed

It runs in the family, here is his brother...

The first one wasn't too bad. Dummy just needed a length of rope and could have road in the front comfortably......but the second guy.......Let's just say Darwin's got his eye on him.......

The brother of one of my fire/rescue co-workers was thrown from the bed of a p/u & suffered permanent brain damage. He is on SSI now, 100% disabled, and has difficulty in speaking and cognitive thought.

When I moved to south Florida, I was passed by a full size Ford pick up packed with farm workers men sitting on the bed sides and women an children inside the bed. Speed limit is 70 and I was probably going 75 and was passed! I have no idea how many ambulances would have been needed to respond if something happened. Next pick up to pass me was loaded above the bed with watermelon and lost one or two every couple miles for a couple hours! Hilarious at the time.

I use to have this quote I kept up on my wall. Was from Mark Zupan. It said, "Yeah I play rugby. What is the worst that can happen? I break my neck... again?"

He actually broke his neck when getting thrown from a pickup truck. In an interview, he said something to the effect that basically he was squandering his life with partying and drinking and being fairly worthless. He went on to say that breaking his neck was one of the best things that happened to him. Wild isn't it?!?!
