I was going through old pics, and saw this. A pic from years ago at Daytona Bike Week, a 4 cyl Gold Wing supercharged dragster. Pic taken at the Hooters parking lot on US 92 across from the Speedway.
As I recall, it was running a CV carb, just one! It must have had a huge main jet in it!
Watching the tach needle when the engine is into the top third reminds me of my friend's Porsche Turbo, which was built by a mechanic for an IMSA GTP championship-winning team member. The needle would jump-across the last 2,000 rpm like the flick of a finger.
Kyle that's a sweetheart. A great deal for someone. And if someone wants a single-carburetor 'spider' manifold for one, I know where to get one, I think it has a Holley on it.
Here's a pic of a same era GW my friend's shop recently got operational for a cheap guy. This is the 'before' pic.
I bought that wing about 4 years ago. It was a naked bike and by buddy wanted a bagger. I bought another wing that has all the bags and Lester wheels for a 100 bucks and painted them to Match for him. The paint on the tank and side covers is original and looks like new.
I like your GoldWing. It is perfect except a seat for masochist. I had probably about 6 GoldWings 77-86. No more!!!! 86 fuel injected was resurrected after hitting fuel pump with hammer.
