Discontinued in the US. Still available in Canada and overseas I think. I like the bike (seen Jayhawk's) but I don't want any more bikes with chain drive. Just too much hassle on long trips. Also, don't know if there is a way to set it up for trips (bags, windshield, etc).

I wish they would have styled it like the GSX1400 but with the busa engine. Maybe like the old GS1000S Wes Cooley with a small cafe fairing.

I think the problem is the Busa is such a nice looking bike....you go to buy a bike with a busa engine then just end up buying the busa :ummm:

see i disagree.. i prefer the looks of the bking to the busa

I wear a XXXL helmet so there is no way in hell that I would get the BKing...Hmmm, but of course everybody would call me the king then I suppose!:biglaugh:

I went down to look at the bking when they first came out(I had the dealer call) They are very ugly imo. I do not think I am alone since they are not selling. I do like Jhawks better than a stock one. BTW the same Bking is still sitting at the dealership over a year later :confused2:

oh def.. everyone's entitled to their opinion... i think we can all agree the vmax kicks ass eh? i mean look at that guy that rated the speed triple, and both gens' of the vmax in the top 10 worst looking bikes ever.

I think the burgerKing looks quite good too, in a futuristic kinda way. What I found mad was how wide it is when I sat on one at the stealership. It's true that the mufflers were a bit OTP, but as we've seen there are many ways around that.
I'm not a huge fan of the looks of the Busa either - sure it's the best shape for those speeds, but just not that attractive to my eyes..

I agree about the width of the tank and scoops it is twice as wide as the Vmax. It was a big let down for me

I have been considering an fz1. What dealer gave you that price on the '06?
I know nows the time to start hitting them up on the older new bikes they are not able to sell. I just bought a new 06 FZ1 for $6800. out the door with everything I am pretty happy with the price concidering a local shop has a 2005 FZ1 with 7800 miles asking $5,895.99 and mine has only 5 miles on it due to ridng it home from the dealer. List price new they are $9,895. out where I live.
