Last year in september i bought my first Vmax. The last months i did a lot and i am almost finished. Can't wait.
This week i finally got the max passed the Rdw inspection so i will get a license plate soon. I changed a lot.
Other engine, 1999, bought from Schwabemax Germany with oil extension kit. Repainted the engine. Solid engine mounts and breather hose from Exactrep from the UK. New iridium sparkplugs, and coils, oil filter, air filter, tires, brakepads, brakecalipers, steel clutch and brakelines. Carburators are cleaned and checked by Piet, Vmaxspecialist.
Waiting for my brand new black DAM exhausts from Belgium and new forward controls from Billetbikebits in the UK. They are awesome.
Still have some work to do like led blinkers, new headlight and speedometer, black handlebars and mirrors and some paint jobs. DAM silver logo.jpg

Looks very clean and black! When I restored my Vmax I had the crankcases and cylinder heads powder coated, but then removed the coating by hand from the "fins" as you can see in the picture on the left. I think that it emphasises the V a little more, but I do like the solid black you have chosen as well. Great to see that you have taken so much care to maintain another of these wonderful bikes!

It took me a lot of work but finally this Monday evening i drove it the first time and i had a big smile on my face. It shifts so smoothly and the power is awesome.
I' ve got my forward controls from the UK from Roy from Billet Bike Bits. These are really a work of art and they look very strong. I will put them on my Vmax tomorrow. Then i really hope to receive the DAM exhaust from Belgium with in 2 weeks.

Bike looks awesome…..I checked out that DAM exhaust…..really nice stuff.
Thanks. I first was looking for Delkevic and they are also really nice and cheaper. At the end i went for the Black DAM exhaust because they are road legal with the db killers installed. Of course i get them out😁.
