To make this bike the way I would want it it would cost $30K including the bike, not worth it to me! The black gothic theme does little for me! chroming this or any bike out as I have learned this past winter is a nightmare!!!

Perhaps you should enjoy the one you have or find something else to ride?

I like the bike but hate the price! I am not sure a Yamaha (Star) can pull off an 18,000 dollar price tag! Only time will tell...

10 bucks says Davidon has one coming...:eusa_dance: Come on... Tell us it's true!

I would shorten the swing arm if I can. It sticks out a bit far back there.
Yea yea yea stability and easier to handle the power when full launching blah blah, BUT with a shorter swing arm it would not only look a bit better but handle better as well and down here in NZ where you would be hard pressed to find a straight road outside of town...

Other than that I can't think of much. Pipes don't look half bad and it still has a nice deep rumble to it so to want to replace those I would have to find a set that the sound just absolutly blows me away.

And I am not joking when I say just looking at pics gives me a better boner than all the **** pictures, lap dances, and hot chicks riding my **** ever could.

Also I think it's time someone updated that pic up there on the top left of the website banner.

OMG! Check out the ignition switch above the dash display on the tank!

Also does anyone else notice the steering damper on the zoom view of the cockpit? Just below the bar clamp.

I don't see the steering dampener? Yamaha doesn't mention it either.

Good to see ya back Waylander.

On one of the videos, when you first turn it on, it looked like "Ready to ride" was displayed there. Did anyone else see that?

I talked to Paul last night for about an hour and it does display a message when you turn it on. "Ready to ride your Vmax?"

Not really liking the details. Brown engine covers??????? Hardly head light, Much toooooooo heavy and a price that will keep it out of my garage. Other than that---- If I could only get that motor in my bike!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing...where the heck did they come up with the ugly brown engins covers, rear rotor base and fork bottoms? Then they use red stitching on the seat....hodge podge mismatch of colors !! The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of something that was constructed without any thought or harmony. By the way...does anyone know what the dash cylinder to th top right of the gauges is supposed to be.....besides looking ridicious ?

Huh, didn't notice the brown covers. Hopefully just on the prototype otherwise it's a paint'in time!

Those brown covers are made of magnesium and cant be chromed.

True, magnesium can't be chromed, but they could have been painted any color except "brown" or they could be left a brushed silver aluminum color. The OEM accessory cam covers are made of billet aluminum. ....there goes the couple of ounces in weight saving provided by the stock magnesium covers.

My buddy was there and was approached by the japaneese reps for Yamaha and asked him with an asian accent" You think we should have went CHAIN DRIVE?":rofl_200:

by buddy smiled:biglaugh: i think they knew they made a mistake by going shaft driven

Bill told me the same story, when he was looking up under the swing arm one of the guys was mocking him about chain drive and laughing and Bill, said we could cut the cases easy enough and then they sorta stopped laughing.

They weren't implying they were even thinking of chain drive Bills bike is chain driven and they knew this.
