Thunder 2011

What are the plans already in place, I know there is a hotel that everybody last year went to, is it the same this year? Should I book now? What days do everybody normally arrive?
I was planning on arriving Wed night/ Thurs mid day, dependant on Thurs activities. But if the trip to Deals Gap is on I want to go on that as well!

Tell them you're with the VMax group ($74 pr/night). I would book sooner than later as last I heard it was pretty full. Most people arrive on the Thursday and depart on the Sunday. We'll probably only plan rides & events for Friday & Saturday, maybe a Thursday nighter too.

If I decide to go to the Gap then I thinking of going before Thunder (Sat ~ Wed) then meeting back at Thunder on the Thursday. Nothing confirmed yet.

Thanks Rollie, will keep those dates in mind. The only reason I'm thinking of the Gap prior to Thunder as we'll be half way there from Ontario.:biglaugh:

As for the sharp pain in my/our side....safe to say that everyone along with myself has has just about enough of him and his finger....goodbye nobody

Personally if he posted something i clicked on it just to see what he said, I wanted him to come to thunder to resolve his issues. Its very easy to type words but face to face is different and he an Jim Rodgers, i think can bury the hatchet so to speak it they just sat down and talked things out.

Trevor , Good Luck in getting some rides to work out and other Fresh Ideas for Thunder In The Valley , I have not been there for the last 2 yrs. but remember the good times had by all starting the 2 yr. of Thunder , I think we had 10 V-maxes there and each yr for the next 8 yrs it got better and better . Lots of people have put together some great rides in the area has there are some nice back roads too ride on . I think the tough part is that there are so many new faces but yet so many old faces and friends that have a set places they like to ride in Thunder or get away from the big groups . I wish I could help you out as I am only 60 miles form Johnstown but work gets in the way plus having sold my max 2 yrs. ago and being bikeless for now is rough . Any way Good Luck on any events you are able to get together . Take Care Kurt

Hello all Thunder attendees, I advise you to check your confirmations from last year. I just called the Days Inn to check up on my reservation from last June's Thunder and at first they stated I wasnt in the system. After looking further, they found me but instead of 6/24-25 stay, they had me for 6/22-25 stay. I made my changes, you should confirm yours too for validity. Nothing worse than getting to Thunder without a room!
