Well the exhaust installation went off without a hitch yesterday at tech day,"I would like to thank everyone that came out,it was an outstanding day!"
Here is a quick summary of the exhaust purchase and installation.
1) I contacted Jon at UFO to get more information about the kit's he offered. I called the shop number and we talked about a half hour, half the conversation was about the kit's, the other half was just bike talk. "He also gave me another phone number to contact him at which I think is his cell phone number".
2) I ordered the Megaphone kit,and it shipped and arrived in a week's time. The kit's shipping weight was 27 lbs, so the bike also went on a serious diet when the stock exhaust came off.
3) The day after the kit arrived, I received a phone call from Jon wanting to be sure the kit made it here OK,and to see if I had any question's. Again we talked for a half hour or so just shooting the bull.
4) We removed the factory exhaust and center stand with the help of Captains Kyles bike lift, which made the installation much easier, Thanks Kyle!" Getting the factory exhaust off was a bitch, and was the worst part of the install. "It weighs a ton too by the way"
5) Instructions that came with the kit were good, The welds and mandrel bends look great, the system is coated inside and out and looks great.
6) This was the first time I've ever installed a full exhaust system and I have to say it fit's perfectly, No leaks and no clearance issue's of any kind.
7) As for the sound "Pissed off Big Block Chevy" is the only way to describe it. It's loud, I'm sure I can set off car alarm's with it, and it is exactly the sound level I was looking for.
8) I would have to rate this purchase A+, have lots of pictures from Tech Day of the install, and "SpecOps" was kind enough to shoot some video. I will try to get the pic's posted today.
9) If anyone would like some specific pictures let me know and I will post them.
