v-boost issue

i saw one in the vmf links for a replacment with the ability to change the range, can anyone vouch for its reliablity, its the one on the micro machines link.

I have the micro machines adjustable controller and it works fine and a lot cheaper than the oem controller. You have to remove the bad controller from the controller case and place the adjustable one in the case.
