Can someone confirm that the part called vboost sensor is a vacuum sensor that attaches to the carb via a hose, the output from it being used by the ignition module only, so has nothing to do with the boost.

i might not be able to give you the right answer, but i will give you one anyway.

The "pressure sensor" is also found on the venture with the same p/n.

With no v-boost on the venture i would maybe say it dosent have anything to do with the v-boost. However the vmax ecm may or may not alter ignition timing when it senses a severe vac drop from vboost opening. so maybe yes.

without the factory ign. curves to look at that is all i can say.
 
thanks all - confrims what I thought (as shown in wiring diagram) - I was somewhat confused/bemused as to why it is called/referred to as a vboost sensor, on ebay that is.
