New Hindle 4-1 on order
Next Pull tank to make sure it is 100% clean
I would use a borescope first to see what shape the tank is in. If you don't need to remove it for cleaning, that saves you time. Lots of threads on here about cleaning tanks. I like vinegar, it's reuseable, and easy to dispose of safely. I've used 'cleaning vinegar,' 6% and just remember to remove the gas level sending unit because the potmetal it's made-of doesn't care for immersion in vinegar, as it will be dissolved! You can get many different %'s of vinegar, the big box stores carry it, but I consider this not to be a case of 'if some is good, a lot is better!' The highest I've seen is 30%, but I would cut that down to 6% or perhaps a bit stronger if you want it to work quicker. Be sure to monitor it. Just dump it out into a container, and see what's happened, and pour it back in until your tank is clean.
