VMax newbe, longtime biker

Just picked up an 04, this is my 2nd Yamaha and 8th bike. I have wanted a Max since I first saw it back in 87 crusin the strip and finally got one. It's a 2004 with 33k on the clock. Some tasteful LED turn signal mods and a cleaned up rear fender with LED"s integrated into the grab bar.
Has the T-boost nod and fan override switch.
Starts and runs good except it has a dead miss at idle on the right bank. New tires, 4-2 Voodoo exhaust, header has been ceramic coated and it's sounds fantastic!
This bike is everything I thought it would be and more. Brings me back to the days of my 83 V65 Magna

It's pretty clean for the age and miles, needs a good detailing, but having too much fun at the moment

If you do your own work, the pilot jet in the jet block of the 'dropping at idle' cyl is probably the cause of your issue. Take a look in the search function to get infor about how to remove the carbs, and to clean the jets and passages. Two jets are in the jet block of each carb. An ultrasonic cleaning machine usually does a great job of cleaning things. As carb synch at reinstallation will make the bike run its best.
