Wasn't today but Monday I tore down the 1500 I bought used, bore looks decent and the rod that spun isn't discolored so I'm sure it can be resized. The crank looks repairable but I have another one I'm going to use, as soon as I can get up some $$ I'm going to send both the crank and rods out to get checked out but in the meantime I've got alot of cleaning to do. Thrust looks ok from what I can tell

Ohh I plan on it Mike just gonna be a question about money at this point. I have some parts I'm going to list on here next week to try to sell but if not I'm going to eBay them, between that and my taxes I'm hoping to have enough to do what I need to do. Either way I'll have it out, I'm still curious how much more I can wring out of that nearly stock motor yet, I think with the 80 shot the bike has a possible 9.9 in it with my current setup.

Just bid on Electro pods for some more light when brakes are applied. Just hate the thought of being hit from behind. Saw it happen----out come was bad. Already have some enhanced lights.

Checked the off-set on my wheels, since they are rubber less right now. I was curious. Kosman did a very nice job building them many years ago. A 190 tire could be run with very little offset, maybe 2mm. The 180-none. They are bolt ups. Thanks to Sean I've got a matching, wider, light front wheel that will take a 120 width with ease.

Started prep'n tins (plastics too) for paint. Don't expect anything showy - been painting everything flat back since the early 90s (inc'l Alfa Romeo, 2 BMWs, Valkyrie Interstate, Moto Guzzi, 2 Land Cruisers ...). I'm ugly and my ego likes the boost. The hoot is that the PO painted the plastics while they were attached to the bike - I had the shoot'n match pulled in under 10 minutes - go figure.

I just put a new tyre on. Metzler me880. 180/55/18, much heavier construction compared to the previous avon cobra. Wheel soon see

Nothing really to do on the Archangel, so like it's paint, I redone the V-axe for a third time.

This time the body and neck was painted gloss black, the top, head stock along with the covers for the electrics, got a covering in carbon fiber. The hardware got black chrome treatment. The "Vmax" is a brushed silver looking decal I got from Boxenstopp a few years back. I like V3.0, so it's now considered finished. I have in the works a double neck guitar and a 6-string bass, Haven't quite figured out what to do with them yet. But the double neck is going to get a twin theme. The 6-string bass is going to be my main guitar so it probably wont get metal'd out. Being it will have dark electrics and the tremolo is black chrome, I'm thinking a dark gray wook stain then an oil rub with some wax, or just verithane it after the staining. If I don't like the grain pattern I'm sure it will take a different direction. :punk:
