Looked at her under the cover but I did find a video that Sean Morley liked on youtube where a guy is building a vmax motor from scratch. It is amazing. Its two hours or more long but man from the bottom EMPTY part of the block right thru. He just installed the shift drum... I am completely hypnotized by this video... lol.

Omg he just made a funny.. said be careful about installing the oil gland for the pushrod for the clutch if u put it in backwards it will leak.. like a harley.. roflmao

Mounted my belly pan... bad to do some cutting.and sanding to fix some cleanence issues and make room for my shifter and foot (it wasnt designed for my type of rearsets, but when you get a good deal on the belly pan, its worth the aggravation, lol). Now ive got.to finish cleaning the motor so eveything will look right. I wish id have gotten my tailsection finish to go with the nelly pan, but thatll be next winter i hope!

I made the hard decision to scrap the restoration project on this '85 today... Simply too far gone and the cost of the restoration from my humble estimate will put me close to double what it would cost me to simply buy a good running one and use this one for parts. Too bad as I had my hopes up but such is life. The poor monkey on this bikes back is starving to death.

So Im starting my search on Monday for another one and this one goes back in another container until I need something from it.

damn...
