Looks like it replaced the faux cover and scoops and puts a fuel tank setup in there place.

It's NOT for the VMax...it's for the Yamaha FZX700, which is the first Yamaha Fazer. How do I know? Because I HAVE a Fazer....

It's a tank cover with side scoops attached, and it has a small gauge box attached to the front of it (neutral light, high beam indicator drectional signal indicators)

The circle you see thru the top of it (at the far left of the image) is where the fuel tank's opening cap is located.

It's also been spray painted black.

I was going to say the same thing "Fazer FZ700" (if I remember the factory designation correctly) It is missing the vertical pieces that cover the intake boots if I remember correctly. I used to have one of these bikes before my V-max. It was a fun bike.
