It's been such an interesting pendulum swing in my outlook in life. When I was in my 20s, all I cared about was material things -- I dreamed of nice houses and expensive sports cars. And now that I'm 44... all I want to do is build things... anything...

I don't dream of a big mansion and fancy cars. My dreams since I got my V-Max have been of an old dusty shop, with a motorcycle on a lift table half apart, and the shop has a small loft with just enough room for a bed and a table with a lamp on a bedside table. And on the table with oily fingerprints on the edges is a Clymers book of the bike below.

Just me, a small shop, and my dog. That would be heaven to me.
