What the hell is this?

I've had 2 different Vmax owners tell me that they have never seen this before. Can anyone identify this?

I've had 2 different Vmax owners tell me that they've never seen this before. It's on the #2 carb. Looks like a vacuum port with a cap on it. I hope someone can identify this for me. Thanks!

Is it a California bike? Maybe a purge for a charcoal canister?

That is a fitting that was for the "california" carbs. Apparently ALL of the later model carbs have this port....its just blocked. Its for emissions.

my 85 has areas on the carbs where this would go but nothing is drilled. I checked some different years on some microfiche parts lists and it shows up in 06 & 07 models.

You were pretty quick with that answer Eric, but if everyone would read more closely, I think we can all agree that Shane beat you to it by answering his own question in his second post #2. Eric, you do still be the usual Brownie merits for expanding further on it's actual purpose for being there. :biglaugh:
