I only use the centerstand for working on the bike then remove it for riding. I never hook up the spring.
I then strap via the handle bars via my roof beams for balance.
It cannot tip over.
With the straps in tension I can take off both wheels if I need to, but I usually only take off the front, or the back.
I do the same except I run a ratchet strap around the stand and put one end hook on one crash bung and the other hook on the other crash bung and tighten. It keeps the stand/bike from rolling forward and crashing to the ground. DON'T ask me how I know what happens...:bang head:
Luckily I am a strong enough guy to keep it from tipping...:thumbs up: What a bitch getting it back on the stand by myself from off the ground...:surprise:
