I am not sure if this post should be here or in another section but, I am noticing after a hard accel, like after a little stop light to stop light race, the rear end feels loose, almost like the road is slick, but I dont see any leaks and all the obvious items are tight, any ideas? I tried searching and didn't find anything.

Thanks
Richard

Rear axle too tight? Rear brakes grabbing? Fluid level in the pumpkin good?:ummm:

I'm running a shinko tour master, diff is full and rear axle is torqued to yamaha spec

You are probably heating up the tire causing it to feel "greasy".....:clapping:

It sounds like the tire is heating up - but you did catch my attention when you stated that your tightening the rear axle nut to spec - if so, it's too tight, the spec in the yamaha manual is wrong - s/b around 50 foot pounds of torque. If too tight, the rear diff assembly gets very hot.

Thanks guys, I will reset my rear axle torque. Also I just installed 11.5" progressive 430's, I double checked the mounting with those and they are all tight. I have not checked my swingarm bearings, I will check said items and re-evaluate
