Best wishes for a speedy recovery for you and your MAX

Now is a great time to be shopping for new gear because tons of last years stuff is on clearance.

I always thought it was a fairly instinctive reaction and pretty hard NOT to do for anyone with a fair amount of dirtbike experience. Not saying it's right or wrong, Don't really have an opinion on that.

Rusty
I agree, if its not instintive and you have to think about it, it may be or probably would be too late to save it.

Maybe stomped the road describes it better?

I think you nailed it with kick, thats what we call it. To me a stomp indicates you leave your foot on the ground, vs. kick where you tag the ground then pull your foot back.

and KC, hope everything is going your way.. I have the stock signals of my 07' there yours if you need em.

In conditions like that, bud, there was nothing you could do. Nothing.

You did VERY well to come out not seriously injured and with your bike not seriously injured either. I would call that a victory on your part. WELL RIDDEN!

It's different on dry pavement...when you can FEEL it coming, FEEL the bike slipping away from you. Then you have a second or two to adjust and save it.

In those type of conditions, it's like God just body slams you instantly. There is little, if any, time to react.

You did great.

Tom

I had my max kick out on me last night in the middle of an intersection. It had to be a spot of oil because both tires slid and there was no gravel or sinders.I was leaning pretty hard to the left when it tried to kick out from under me.

I kicked the road, the back tire came back under me and I made the turn.

I'm glad you were able to save it. There have been enough wrecked bikes the last couple of weeks.
