I just did this adjustment a little over a week ago. Wobble is completely gone for me. Doesn't take long, you might need to buy a big wrench though. Home Depot sells the 1 1/16 Husky wrench for around 6 bucks or the 27mm for around $8.50 or so. I went with the 1 1/16 and fits perfect.
Noticed I had a pretty severe low speed wobble, did the bounce test and adjusted per Sean's Youtube video and took it for a quick test ride. Astonishingly better handling and zero wobble. Not bad for 20 minutes including getting my tools out and taking a little ride.
I bought an LS2 modular helmet recently. I wasnt looking for modular, I didnt even know it was when I first tried it on. The reason I got it was because it was basically the only helmet in my price range that fit my head comfortably. It has some nice features like rachet straps under the...
I have a similar experience. My last bike was 2008 zx6r with a slipper clutch and going from that to the vmax was a huge difference. Shifting and finding neutral are exponentially more difficult. I just changed my oil to a diesel oil and the shifting and clunking is much improved. I don't...
Mine came from the guy I bought the bike from. He said he paid around $80 for them. I had never looked them up and knew he was full of it, the only reason he didn't replace the stock ones was because he messed up the screw heads and never bothered trying to replace them.
Not exactly what I did today but I have installed some brake and clutch covers, new ebay windshield and did the CBR tail light mod. The only other thing I want is to save up for some chrome scoops and I also want some engine guards at some point.
I agree with the sentiment here. I got a backrest for the wife and she likes it. I really can't get over how little difference it makes when she is riding back there, compared to my last bike which was an 08 zx6r. I absolutely hate the look of the backrest but happy wife and all..
Cool. I like the look of it, I just hadn't seen any others. Thanks.
I also like your smoke windshield, I just don't feel like spending $120 for it at the moment.
Thanks Dave. I have signed up for various forums over the years and I love the amount of advice and help you can get from people that you don't know but share the same love. I look forward to reading over a million posts and adding my own small contributions from time to time. I tried looking...
Thanks for the advice. I really hope it works out and I can pick it up. Its a gorgeous bike. The one thing I have noticed though is it has red flames on the faux tank and then red flame stitching in the seat. I thought it was a standard option but I haven't seen any seats like it. Looks...
I am a first time poster and long time admirer of VMAX. I am planning to meet a guy this weekend to see about purchasing his 2006 VMAX with 8900 miles. I plan on bringing it to a shop to have them look it over, the seller has no problem with this. He is apparently an ASE certified mechanic...
