I rode my bike in to work today and it was a little chilly this morning, about 36 degrees, but the temp did go up to about 64 degrees. We're supposed to hit a possible high of 70 degrees tomorrow!!! Yippeee!!! :thumbs up:

Install some gas in my vmax and fire her up. I used this setup to pump the gas in the tank. It has switch to turn it on and off. I have use this pump on so many small jobs it runs off of 12 volts and it plugs right in my battery charging plug.

Not exactly what I did today but I have installed some brake and clutch covers, new ebay windshield and did the CBR tail light mod. The only other thing I want is to save up for some chrome scoops and I also want some engine guards at some point.

I bought the same 1's it look like.
There's a guy selling them for $9.95 on ebay

Mine came from the guy I bought the bike from. He said he paid around $80 for them. I had never looked them up and knew he was full of it, the only reason he didn't replace the stock ones was because he messed up the screw heads and never bothered trying to replace them.

I dreamed about Woona... and cried because we had a full blown Nor'easter last night.

Oh... I'm back

Installed freshly cleaned and painted swingarm. Replaced an O-ring in the cooling system. Synced carbs. Rode to the gas station and back. Then found a leak in the front brake master cylinder. About to order a rebuild kit for the master.

Finally got motivated enough to start stripping parts off the max. At 40,000 miles, it's time to do a full maintenance on the bike.

Valve adjustment, rad flush, all bearings check/adjustment, carb cleaning, etc....

As far as appearance, Cybermax headlight, MRA racing windshield and get exhaust re coated.

Mike

Started repairing the light damage to my Hepco and Becker trunk due to it coming off when I hit a immensely huge hole in the road in Veracruz, Mexico. Flew right off and bent the trunk mount. Have since reinforced the mount and the mount on the hard saddlebags to be able to put more weight. Now can hold 24 bpttñe beers in each saddlebag amd more than thirty in the trunk, hahaha!!

Installed my bar end mirrors and COPs kit. Pretty easy, thought it was going to be a pain from everything I read. 3 of the 4 old coils were cracked. Idling a lot smoother. Waiting for the snow to melt... again.

Helped Bro Wayne move into his new house, I'd rather sync carbs. But, he's in the new house and Steve-o came home with an unexpected front fender and a nice frame for the 85 I'm piecing together.

Hahhaaaa I refuse to look at paypal purchase amount like Todd did ...I will have coronary problems ... But my new VMAX room looks good in my basement I will post pics someday when finished ...:punk:

I continued the installation of parts. UFO exhaust Completed. New Avon Rear tire. Broke rear brake pad springs...OoPs....Must get banding wire and fix tomorrow... I had to pull rear brake caliber apart, I could not get it to retract, while putting on new brake pads. Oh then I remembered I didn't put the clips in on the pads. I installed new Brake bar. Installed polished Scoops, crash/engine guards. Passenger foot Pegs, and driver pegs. Reinstalled rear fender, with OEM grab bar instead of the Sissy bar( not care for look, plus nobody dares to ride on the back of my bike...) So tomorrow, I go back to Autozone for some small hose, and bleed the brakes, front and rear..Add Engine oil and listen to my UFO exhaust for the 1st time, and see if it snows Monday as planned.... Next weekend adjust/ sync carbs....Or die trying...

Installed new plugs, and went for a cold ride. PO didn't have the plug seated or gapped correctly, all were +.05. Running great now! Hope the weather holds out tomorrow so I can get out again.

Sean

Installed hitch & wire harness to my car, now I have to find reasonable 4x8 or 5x8 utility trailer for hauling the max around. My house will be paid off in 3 yrs & 10 months, then I'll get a truck to do the job
