    Vmax Battery replacement 101

This was the best mod yet! Finally started my bike without a jump start after wintering for a few months! Thanks for the heads up!

    Shifter shaft oil seal leak

I thought so. I'm back at work soon and won't have more than a day or two to work on it at a time, so I may leave it, monitor the oil level when I do ride, ride closer to home, and wait for the winter "fix it" season. The bike could use some upgrades, and a valve adjustment. I do love a...

    Shifter shaft oil seal leak

Hey guys, is there an "easiest" way to get to shifter shaft seal to replace it? Or a quick fix that will get me through the season? I just got all the bugs worked out of my carbs and went out for a satisfying asphalt rip. Upon my return home I saw a drop fall from my shifter shaft. I took...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Putting down your bike... like a boss.

I'm glad you made it with only minor injuries. I've been down a couple of times, and it's no fun. I was lucky and was using decent gear. I came up the ranks from older CB750s then a CB1000, and finally my Vmax. I love it cause it still scares me sometimes. Best bike I've owned yet.

    fuel mileage

90 miles would be fine by me. The nicer rides up here have the gas stations spaced around 60-70miles apart. A 60 mile radius really really keeps me too close to home. I get my sync tool in a couple of weeks and hope that will get me back up there and out there.

    fuel mileage

I used to get 150km/tank (90miles @ about 29mpg), but after I brought it to a mechanic for a sync (he also replaced the air filter from uni to K&N) I'm lucky to get 100km/tank (60 miles @ about 19mpg). I ride hard but not 19mpg hard! No gas is leaking but I replaced some cracked carb joints...

Hey guys, Congratulations on this most awesome site, and thank you. I've spent the last day and a half reading through the tech info, and am very impressed. The pictures and the step by steps have answered sooo many questions, increased my confidence with tacking the inner workings, and has...
