    Clutch will not fully engage

No doubt. Unfortunately it is looking like a problem still exists with the master cyl. I let a buddy take it for a spin after me and he came back with an issue. The bushing that has the hole in it for the push rod some how dropped out a little and the push rod was no longer in the bushing. Also...

    Clutch will not fully engage

You ARE the man. I just got back from an awesome quick spin. Problem solved!

    Clutch will not fully engage

Well I hope you make master...I didn't so I am out. Missed it by less than 3 points two years running now. Even if I make it next year I will not be staying in. Hopefully this works. I think I am going to go out and try it in a few minutes. Great thing about being in maintenance is the access...

    Clutch will not fully engage

I did replace both the bolt and the washers...How would I bleed that area?

    Clutch will not fully engage

A little background to help understand my problem. I finally get the max running great after the PO let it sit FOREVER. After about a thousand miles or so the clutch master cylinder started leaking behind trhe plunger. I bought the rebuild kit. I removed the master cyl and cleaned/rebuilt it...

Changed oil now has oil light on

OK...well, nevermind. I went out and started the bike after it had been sitting for a little while and the light did not come on. I believe it may have taken a little for the bike to register the oil level since I left it overnight with no oil. I had to reseal the clutch cover since it was...

Changed oil now has oil light on

This one confuses me. I have changed the oil on this bike twice prior to today and have not had a light issue. Today I change the oil and put in 10w40 instead of the 10w30 since it is getting warmer around here. With the 10w40 the oil light is on when I start the bike. I have checked and...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

That's not a bad idea. We'll see what happens. At least I have lights now though. Before the PO had nothing, he'd been running it that way for 4 years...not right but I guess he got lucky or never rode at night.

    Tomok Mirrors anyone?

Finally got around to installing these mirrors. I love 'em.

    Tomok Mirrors anyone?

I got my mirrors in last night. It took a little longer than i'd hoped but no biggie. They look awesome and I can't wait to install them. Unfortunately that will have to wait since I am having a custom backrest made and my "tins" painted satin black AND I am moving this weekend. Busy busy!

    Replacing spark plugs

It's as easy as pulling the spark plug wire off the plug then use the right size socket and then take them out. When putting them back in make sure you do not over tighten. This would be a bad place to crack or strip out. I usually install and tighten as much by hand then use the socket wrench...

    Whats Wrong with this Picture!!!

Having trouble to keep vmax running

I remember mine sounding quite a bit like that a month ago. I did have a similar problem as you in the beginning. I could not rev above 4K without it dying. I gutted and cleaned the carbs and replaced ALL jets. After the clean and gut I sync'd the carbs and adjusted the AF mixture screw and now...

    10 Dollar Backrest

Could you tell me how high up is the peak of your bend? I was just talking to my welder buddy last night about fab'n up a backrest off the original grab bar. Our idea was going to be a little more labor intensive. However, I really like the way you did yours. So, if you don't mind I think I will...
