time for new pads on my '86 vmax what are the grabbiest ones you guys recommend for my stock calipers?

Howdy people: As you may know, I suffer from symptomus moronicus... For the life of me, I cannot figure out why some brake pad manufacturers include a metallic screen-like flat piece that sort of clips on the back of the brake pad, so that the brake pots contact the surface of this screen...

It's time to change my brake pads on my 2005, after the pads get warm it sounds like a garbage truck stopping with a loud whoooo:biglaugh: From what I have read it sounds like EBC pads are a great choice for the Vmax. Who has the best price for the front and rear pads?

anyone buy the cheap ebay brake pad sets? 30-40 $$ for fronts and rears are they any good? I might try a set and see.

I cant find the info I read a while ago about rotor prep before new pads. I think it was recommended to sand the rotors with a very fine grit wet/dry paper to remove any residual pad material, and clean well with brake cleaner before new pads.:confused2: Would this help my rear brake stop...

Reading articles and posts it appears that the EBC brake pads are the best replacement for the Vmax. I found the complete set front and rear on ebay (See link below). Any comments or suggestions are welcome before I make this purchase. Click Here!

I know the differences between the two. Organic more progressive, lower heat, less squeel. Sintered more stopping power, less progressive. I am using R1 calipers... can i use organic? Will I have enough stopping power? I like the idea of more of a progressive feel, and less opportunity...
