Cliven had a great deal of public support for pushing back the feds in 2014, he was not wrong. He didnt fall out of favor until spouting a bunch of racist shit during an interview. Patriot groups are growing fast and have been since Obama took office. Many correctly anticipated the need.
That being said I am unable to grasp many of the decisions made by the Bundy family and the other OR occupiers. Their methods were counterproductive. They are probably very lucky that only one of them was murdered. One purpose that was served is that those that researched the claims of the occupiers instead of drinking the media Kool-aid recognize that the civil rights violations and rampant land grabs are indeed a very real result of appalling govt overreach. It is also noteworthy that a majority of patriot groups were opposed to the OR ooccupation, and for good rreason. The large numbers of angry Patriots/groups are probably the only reason these occupiers were not all swiftly executed Ruby Ridge style or Kent State style.
