thats the way mine is routed...however...it looks to me like it gets pinched by the fan shroud....the shroud has a recess on the other side...so im not really shure. my bike could be routed wrong as well:ummm: just dont look right lol

The hose that comes straight out of the bottom of the fill neck should run down from above,
and have a bend in it to route right over the top of the front right cylinder, then against the fan shroud on the right side,
(it goes in front of the horizontal frame tube between it and the radiator)
then a sharp bend to the left under the shroud,
and then back down to it's attachment point.
(right and left as sitting on the bike)

Something doesnt look right here but it might just be the perspective of the picture angle.

Once you get the rad/fan on it'll become a little more obvious if the hose has the stock bends in it..

I have the hose stuffed between the engine and the frame crossbar. Wondering if it goes between cross bar and radiator? Seems awfull close to the exhaust right now.

Mike it goes between the top crossbar and the radiator. Mine has the spring like cover on it.

Why don't you guys take a look at the service manual?...

I did. Saw all kinds of info regarding cables and electrics routing. Didnt see what i was after regarding this.

Im pretty sure the hose is routed right, just think it on the wrong side of the crossbar.

I walked away from it hours ago to enjoy some sunshine in the backyard with my kids.

Thanks for the input guys.

found this in clymer service manual
