COP conversion mod

I've decided to convert my stock coil ignition with the coil on plug mod; which spark plugs do you guys recommend I should use??

Gannon supplies 4 NGK plugs with the kit.
I've had mine for over a year now and I'm extremely happy with them.
you won't regret buying the kit from Gannon (88vmx12).

+1 for Gannon's kit. Unplug the old ones and plug the new ones in. I did mine while I had the carbs off to Sean for a rebuild and it was apart any way. There is a thread on here showing how to get the old coils off. Very helpful. This site rocks.

Gannon (88vmx12) has a great COP kit and the quality is great. I was happy with they way my old 85 ran and no regrets here......

I had bought a set of used COPs complete with the plug in harness for an 04 Yamaha R1; the color codes should be the same as that of the V-Max, shouldn't it??

Here are the color codes on each COP harness connectors:

grey/green and red/black
grey/red and red/black
orange/no tracer and red/black
orange/green and red/black

My guess is the first set are hot while the red/black are common....

Red and black are positive on the last R1 harness I looked at. It was a mid 2000's
part. Gannon's harness is OEM, no, it's better quality.Well worth the money.
