Final drive numbers

I'm looking for a final drive for my '05 so I'll have something to use while you want to have is getting rebuilt or whatever and the one I found is P17 the one on my bike P16 or vicevers what does that mean

Likely the shimming requirements. All 85-07's will interchange though the 96-07's have the same hub thickness (and axle). I am sure I have plenty of good used units that would be a LOT cheaper then rebuilding yours.
