Need brake master help

I have an 89 & the front brake master just went out.
I really don't want to use another max master.
Anyone know which master from other bikes will fit the max?
Will my factory brake switch hook up or will i have to change that also?

Your master cylinder is part # 3HE-2583T-01-00

Put the number into the 'Where used' box on the LH side to see which other models use it.

I guess i said it wrong.What i mean is a completely different master cylinder from another bike that will work. Not my same part number on different bikes.
That would be the same thing i have now.

A few different sportbike units will work (with some custom brackets to hold the plastic reservoirs or some custom billet reservoirs). You can also use some custom masters or even some FJR units. I have also seen some Kawasaki units use.

Basically most masters with 7/8" bars and the correct size bore will work.
