Hiya all.

During my weekly check this morning I noticed that there was oil in my coolant reservoir. The coolant is all milky and there is oil around the edges of the reservoir.

The oil level doesn't seem high and the oil doesn't seem milky so I don't think there is coolant in the oil.

The bike seems to be running as well as always and I had no idea there was a problem till I checked the coolant this morning. The bike has not been overheated or anything.

What is the likely cause? Head gasket? Cracked head (hope not)?

Thanks for any advice...

Hard to say. Could be as simple as a waterpump seal/bearings or even gasket. That's almost the only area other then head gasket (which usually leaks combustion pressure into the coolant when they go bad).

Well it turned out to be the simple option thankfully. Seems the water pump seal was the culprit.

Thanks Sean for your input, much appreciated. :punk:
