It looks like I'm going to have to fit non standard temp gauge and tacho to my project, can anyone recommend anything from experience? Not sure how either are rated/how to determine if they will work? Many thanks peep's.

Temp gauge you may have to replace the stock sensor and use the one from your gauge. The tach may or may not be able to work depending on how adjustable it is. Many of them require it to be set to a 1 cylinder in order to read accurately.
