shortened sidestand

can someone tell me where i could send my stand to be shortened? does someone have one for sale? i'm gonna have the r1 front end i got on e-bay installed on thurs. i'll be needing a shorter stand. someone cancelled an appointment so i moved up the service date and i'm wondering how close to tipping the bike over i'll be once the front end is on. i've got a second stand just need this done kinda fast

Any welder should be able to cut it down and re-weld. I actually did'nt need to cut mine down because my rear is raised up over stock for more ground clearance

Looks like Sean Morley from Morley's Muscle(see add above) can hooh up with a shortened kickstand. Here is the link to the rest of this conversation from a posting under "electrical" called "Kick stand shortening danger ".

"Theoritically it can but most of the time you will never have a problem with it. The kickstand can and should be removed quite easily. We offer kickstand shortening for $10 and have a few cores we can send out to save wait time. It's a fairly simple process. There are also alternative methods to make the bike lean better though they can't get quite as much change as cutting the stand. If your bike isn't lowered tremendously then the altertantive methods work well but can't be reversed very easily. The stand can by simply getting antoher one.

Yeah... I did my own and 4WARND's. Very easy to do but it took some test fitting to get it right...:thumbs up:
