Got my new (to me) Cobra mufflers on the bike. I do have to say I LOVE how they look. The sound is ok. A bit louder than what I would normally shoot for, and the tone is not quite what I am looking for, but still a very good sound to them.

The one bummer is the power loss. It does smell like the bike is running rich, and it feels like there is a poser loss across the RPM range. That being said, I have NO intention of getting rid of these mufflers.

I know what needs to be done to get the power back while still using these mufflers, and I know whom I would be best talking to about getting it taken care of. Don't care how much it costs me, I WILL have them performing at least equal to stock.

Indeed, a great time had by all! Was most happy with how well the purple bike did on the dyno. 145rwhp and 90lbs of torque at the rear wheel!

My buddy came over & done a little work to the old trash bike that I drug out of a backyard in Miami a couple years ago that should have been put to rest. Its looking really good compared to what it looked like after sitting in a back yard with no cover for many years. Its the blue one. I worked on my 2000 a little bit over the last week painted the swingarm & the shock springs & put a fresh powder coated grab rail on it & put the rear fender on it. If my back is not hurting to much tomorrow I might put fork seals & do some other minor work on it.

I installed some delkevic case guards and a steering damper, thanks vmax mike,I think the steering damper makes a difference.

Wasn't today but Tuesday I stripped the flaking clear off of my rear wheel (18"x6" Kosman) and cleaned it up, came out pretty nice I think... I'm going to enter it in a local bike show this weekend, don't got a ton of bling so probably won't win anything but I've never entered anything of mine into a show before so I'll give it a shot..
