today I put the oil pump together from my '86 and ordered a 5th gear... gett'n closer.

I installed the cylinder sleeves , sized the rings, put the rods and pistons together. paying for the bearings is gonna hurt.

Ordered some brake parts and picked up the cylinders , and a rebushed first gear. got some work to do, and a pencil to sharpen, lol. cheers

Have to agree with ouchez. better seat and handling would have done it. when it is all said and done, no matter what we add to the max it is still a max.

HEY I'm gettig back the crank and rods from the machine shop in colorado springs. OH BOY, now for the bearings ,while waiting for the cylinders to be sized. Happy trails to you all.

I am refurbishing my '86, mostly apart for now. got rid othe headlight watage upgrade they used so many years ago and put it back to stock. I can always use l.e.d. stuff. has anyone any knowledge of swapping a venture charging system to a gen 1? Curious if that would help or hurt? take care out...

I am wondering about the condition of the trans. The engine was out when i took possesion, so I don't know if there is an issue. It looks good and shifts positive (cases are split). I have heard of second gear problems . is there something I should look for? concerned. much thanks for any tips.

I believe that information is key to what we think and believe. tunnel vision is dangerous.. Be patient, think it through. none of us want to be "the frog in the pot".

h I rebuilt the rear master cylinder on the 86. kit is from all balls. price and quality are good , later.

I refurbished the front end on my 86, got it back together today. get'n closer. by that i mean the engine is still apart. happy trails. wayne b

hello I just had mine off to determine if it was functional. It is not mechanical. One end has a larger hole than the other. if memory serves the arrow points to the sensor. unless it is broken into it should be OK, providing it is not blocked.

Fire-medic hello again . the gas cap on my '86 needs a rubber seal. I serviced the cap and is working well. I cannot locate a seal. thanks again and I hope you are doing well. wayne b. [email protected]
