My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

I should add that when the above guys on the thread talk about draining from this plastic plug, they probably mean if you have another hose off down low, the positioning of the plastic plug will then allow flow to the area where the hose is off. I do not think it means you drain directly from...

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Dannymax explains it in the thread heading ‘drain **** valve assembly’, way back 2009. i stripped mine to find out how it works, and had the whole assembly out because the bit of large corner plumbing nearby was leaking. Looks like i probably got the positioning correct. But Dannymax explains it.

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Yes; I stuck this in it to stop it leaking 🍄 I knew someone would spot that. I was desperate! It's not all my fault! At the time of stripping Trigger down I was eventually fighting against the clock and got fed up after about 4 weeks, continuously every day working on the bike. Had the carbs...

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Mine is in this position, a bit squint, I believe you should be able to read the writing on it as normal way up. I’ve had mine stripped down a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly the manual could have been a bit ambiguous on the position, but maybe i’m wrong. Anyway Trigger runs and...

    What in blue blazes?

I’ve had a front blow out and managed to hang onto it…just. Even when ur down to 5MPH your still struggling not to drop it. I stopped with the bike nearly on its side. I know where your coming from on that subject, it was 75% luck, 10% skill and the rest stupidity. Also anyone tried riding a...

I'm about to throw in the towel :(

Last time I was away for 80 days, and never had a problem anywhere near Stuttgart, and towards Belgium. The traffic slowed down allot at rush hour, but everyone was moving over and letting each other in/out. Never saw a bump or bad behaviour once. Different experience’s mate, but understandably...

Exactly, also Pamela's body and looks were personally crafted by the great T&A god. I did not want to go too deep into the subject, but your comment on driving abilities is very accurate, not to mention more than likely observant. For fear of being ripped to shreds by someone I'll elaborate...

I'm about to throw in the towel :(

Yes I remember Pamela, she married a Glaswegian. i don't doubt at all the figures you post, all I know is that i’ve never seen an accident on an Autobahn, or been held up for more than a couple of minutes on one. But i’ve sat on the M6 for 6 3/4 hours once, and been sitting for many hours on...

I'm about to throw in the towel :(

After driving sports bikes all my life, the VMax is ultra comfy even as stock. I took my GSXR out for 110 miles and thought I would need an ambulance to get me off it, and decided that was my last trip on that bike without carrying a collapsible wheelchair. Then drove the VMax 400 miles and my...

I'm about to throw in the towel :(

I heard that also. When last in Germany there was also talk that the Autobahn is illegal under EU laws, and that companies like Porsche used their might and forced the govt to backtrack on bringing the speed limits online. Not sure if that is all true, but it is definitely worth keeping an eye...

I'm about to throw in the towel :(

Its not too far. 5 years ago went from malaga up the east coast to alps,Turin, then north through gap at Switz and Aust, up to Stuttgart. Brilliant weather in September. Got a speeding ticket near Alicante (did not know the cut-offs reduce the KPH rapidly and the policia hide behind...

I think we should all meet up at the autobahn. 😀

I was just about to mention front forks alignment and thought you would need to knock them out in some way, then you noticed the chrome trim maybe damaged. There is a quick and accurate way to check your front forks alignment, get a piece of glass and put it across the forks, if it wobbles on...

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Can I give a suggestion. Apologies if it has already been said before. The American model would have the a/f screw plugged off (maybe) and if the trouble is at low rpm where the pilot screw adjustment is essential, and also being an old engine. Then drill out the a/f plugs, take out the screws...

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Yes I’m now a traumatised wreck, how was I to know it would end up like that. Saving the bike was the best option at the time for me :), it’s a youth thing. Also got the shocks changed then underwear 🩲, in that order 😂. Thanks.

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

I read with interest F_M's write-up above that says quote ' worn-out rear shocks'. I'm not saying this is your problem but it should be considered as I once had a set of rear shocks that ended up having the spring tensions uneven. I went into a wobble at about 120 MPH and it held the wobble...
