my programmable v boost controller came with a LED so I installed it next to my tach. now when the boost kicks in or cycles on start up the tach lights up blue, hard to see in the daylight but otherwise looks great. later, bill

this what I used. my bags are hard plastic on the back side so I bought some wire straps that have rubber strips on them and drilled the bags as needed and mounted with 1/4 -20 bolts with nylon lock nuts. I also left the strap over the top op of my seat. good luck ,bill

I probably could put it on the center stand if I used the clamp / wheel stop that came with the lift. I mounted their heavier duty wheel chock flush with the front of the table. this allowed the center stand feet to come down on the edges of the table opening. after reading all the great tips...

when getting my max on my lift table I've been trying to find a way to get it on the centerstand. I found video of a guy doing this with a BMW on youtube but his lift table looks to be wider / longer than the habor freight table I have.standing next to the max on my table would be an accident...

Sean, good to hear from you. the hard crust you refer to is what we call case hardening I believe. I wouldn't consider undercutting without the hard weld. I would think .025" buildup would be enough if the wear is not too extreme. I was not aware of a recall for the 85's. I'm the original owner...
