Noticed a few drops of gear oil right under the rear end/shaft tube joint but it didn't feel wet. Bike was on side stand, could it be coming/running from somewhere else? How hard is it to fix that seal?

I have some Busa calipers located. So, I'll need some brackets from Sean, longer brake lines, and FJR rotors & master. That about cover it?

Guys do it all the time to their 1st gen FZ1's. Not sure on a Vmax thou.

I'm just the opposite, list it for the absolute lowest you will take and hold firm. I don't even call/inquire about bikes that are listed high. To me the owner comes across as being unrealistic.

AWESOME!!!!!!! Been thinking about doing the same thing. With people wanting $4K for 25 year old Max's and $7500 for 10 year old Max's, I'm about to give up and look for something new.

I would love to have it, just doesn't fit in my $4500 budget. Not saying it's not worth it, but at $7500 I would spent the extra $3K or so and get a Gen 2.

WOW, $10K seems to be the magic number for Gen 1 owners to "pull the trigger" on a Gen 2. Kinda glad it isn't close to me, would probably take out a loan and buy it. Do recalls run out timewise? 1st owner, 2nd owner, etc.?
