I'm getting ready to upgrade the forks with at least race-tech springs. Why do I need the gold valve emulators? I'm 6' 260lbs and ride semi-aggressively in straights and turns. Thanks

MAke sure you unplug the fuel pump also. If you're like me you'll think "I won't turn that on while I'm doing this", Then Mark "helpfully" suggests you check the vboost operation and BAM gas all over. :biglaugh:

I have the needle coming from Dyno jet. Some odd behavior on the way to work today, I'm gonna check all the rubbers and stuff and if it still is there tonight I'll post it.

Put the clip on the 2nd slot with the shim between the clip and the slide=2.5. clear as mud ;)

3rd from the blunt end. So I need to lower the clip 1/2 to 3.5. Yes there is a washer/shim.

They're stock. Butt dyno says it's pulling harder on the upper end. I still have that annoying burp when holding steady at 4100 then hitting wot. So too much needle? Also what are the benefits of staying with the stage 1 needles , besides money? Tom

Do you know the length of stock vice stage 1? Right now the needles are on the 3rd clip. I'm about to take a quick ride and see how it feels.

I finally got around to swapping my main jets to the 150's I got from Mark. It had 160's in it and I took a look at the needles and they are stage 1's. AM I better off buying new stock needles or can I adjust the stage 1's to work ok? I have an 86 with trapps. Also what other parts should I...

So, me and a buddy swapped bikes today, his is an FZ6 with a 14K redline. He didn't notice the lower redline of the Max:bang head:, when we got to work there was a lot of oil that blew back onto the rear cylinders. I haven't got a chance to look really close yet but it appears to be coming from...

It just spins freely, when I try to push it out it clears the o-ring and then jams. I think I'll just leave well enough alone. New spring and washer on the way.

So, I'm changing the oil and notice there is no spring or washer. Does this mean the filter was being by-passed the entire time? Also, I can't get the by-pass valve assy out of the cover. Is it really necessary to replace that o-ring?

I just had a ME880 put on my front and noticed the same thing. I've checked the rotation arrows like 5 times just make sure I'm not tripping out. :)

Mark, They(dealer) don't need the speedo gear do they?
