    stupid people and bikes

:rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200: Funny videos. I don't understand why people do stunts without any gear, or even helmets.

I had my '98 up to 210 km/h so far.

    Self cancelling turn signals

My '98 don't have them. Tried today, manual shut off only.

    Ouch gentle reminder

Wow... Great story. She's lucky to be alive to tell her story. If it's too warm with gear on, I simply don't ride. I watched a friend go down at 100mph wearing a sleeveless shirt and cargo pants back in 1998. His shoes and socks came off his feet and he landed on his face. He swears to this day...

Where Did You Go On Your Weekend Ride?

Rode what we call the "Irish Loop" on Sunday. 180 miles of coast line twisties through a bunch of small towns. 50mph speed limits between towns. Slow going in the towns. Great ride! Max was great on fuel too.

    Early signs of clutch slip

I used a small socket wrench and went good and snug with the new bolts. Not too tight but probably tighter than recommended 5.8 ft/lbs torque. I had the bike on the highway today and what a difference at high speed. My bike used to struggle to go much faster than 100mph (unless you had a whole...

    Early signs of clutch slip

I finally had time to replace the clutch. Wasn't difficult at all. I did find out the hard way that my torque wrench no longer works:damn angry:. I was waiting for a "click", but instead I heard a "snap"! I snapped a bolt tightening the clutch spring! Lucky for me it never completely cracked...

    Spark in carb

"Usually, when spark goes to the wrong place, rather than to the spark plug on these bikes, the charging system proves to be less than adequate to provide a full 12.6 or greater volts to the TCI boxes. The TCI boxes are a known problem, and this malfunction usually first shows up when the bike...

    Road Racing

I believe that's the Isle of Mann race. The race has been around for years. You need big balls and no fear to run that race!

    Early signs of clutch slip

Big thanks to everyone for giving good tips!:eusa_dance: PCW spring, and new fibers are ordered. Anyone have a good tip on best way to break the cover loose?

    Early signs of clutch slip

Thanks. That's a good read with pics. I live in eastern Canada, so I would think shipping will cost me if I order from Morley. Friction plates are under 15 bucks at dealer here. Heading to dealer now to order fibers and gasket. Waiting to here back from PCW about payment.:biglaugh: How long...

    Early signs of clutch slip

Thanks. I never replaced a clutch before, but have read many threads about it. One question... Do I need to bleed the clutch? Or anything related to clutch fluid?

    Early signs of clutch slip

The only reason for looking at the tach at high speed, was to see if the clutch might be slipping. Seems to me that the Max struggles (for a muscle bike) over 100mph. I thought it would accelerate faster. Maybe the clutch is slipping just a little at higher speeds? Seems like I need a lot of...
