I just picked up this 2007 R1 complete front end as well as a cycle one off tripple tree for usd forks. I'm excited to install, which doesn't seem to be very much trouble, but does anybody know what type of timeframe I'm looking at? 8 hours expectancy overkill? 4 hours? Thanks!

So, I got one of the cycle one off 17" rear wheels and notched/braced swingarms. The website says to have a certified yamaha mechanic install it, is that truly neccessary or is that just verbiage to cover himself from people screwing it up themselves?

His next question then, may very well be, "does anybody have a tap and die set?". That is very kind of Ninjaneer, to help another person out like that!

I changed everything out. Getting the thermostat elbow off is not so simple though, there is no room to get the back 5mm allen bolt out! Had to remove the headers first.

Sean, thanks for the parts and for your willingness to help! I drained the coolant last night and tonight, I will pull the thermostat elbow off. Any suggestions? There are two bolts holding the cover on, 1 of them closest to the radiator appears to be in a tight location! Should I pull the radiator?

Maybe, what the Heck is a hydrographic? lol It's just red :) I am painting it this winter though and am really undecided about what to go with?

I understand the logic behind replacing everything, but it's not like it's time consuming work :). Replacing the O rings in that elbow can't take very much time at all. Drain the coolant into a brand new uncontaminated container (for reusing purposes), remove the clamp to the hose connected to...

My bike came with a Corbin, and although I love it for ordinary riding, I don't love it for the twisties :) I threw together a sportmax front section and center and rear reworked Muscle seat. The new reworked sportmax is so much better for being able to get into the turns but I do miss the sheer...

Yeah, I actually didn't even realize that but I just went and took a look and definitely cracked. If you want to throw the parts together for everything I should replace just send me an invoice!

Woke up to find a puddle of leaking fluid under my bike (picture below). I noticed that there is coolant leaking from the piece that the radiator hose attaches to (picture below). What do I need to fix this? I see that it is only two bolts to separate this piece to get to an O ring or gasket...

Hmmm, That gold color almost looks like a Bronze, in which case, may look really good though I havn't seen a completed vmax with that color wheel yet. Sean, are you already accepting payment or are you looking at a future date?
